Planned Maintenance
What is planned maintenance and what does it include?
Opting for planned maintenance gives you the peace of mind that your automated gates, barriers and access control systems are running reliably all year round. At Electro, we create maintenance schedules tailored to your site and asset type, from high-traffic commercial barriers to premium HTC gates and Electro installations.
During planned maintenance servicing, our qualified engineers carry out thorough checks, everything from electrical testing to force testing, induction loop measurement to safety edge inspections. It’s a proactive approach to looking after your automation investments, making sure every system is compliant and cost-effective.
Not an Electro product? It doesn’t have to be one of our installations – in many cases, we can maintain and support third-party systems too.

Why planned maintenance is important
Planned maintenance is about prevention, not just repair. By scheduling regular servicing, you avoid unexpected breakdowns, extend the life of your equipment, and stay ahead of compliance requirements.
Regular servicing helps you meet regulation standards, insurance requirements and health and safety obligations.
Busy sites require more frequent checks (usually every six months) to keep up with heavy usage.
Many customers begin with a reactive or one-off service. Often, once experiencing the benefits, our customers move to a planned maintenance contract for ongoing protection.
The benefits of planned maintenance
Planned servicing prevents small issues from becoming expensive repairs. We’ll always aim to repair before replacing.
Systems that are regularly serviced run smoother, last longer and wear better over time.
Whether it’s gates, barriers, or access points, you can expect all your systems to stay safe, compliant, and working exactly as they should.
